How CrewCoach Works

Every shift starts with sixty seconds. The rest happens in real work. Here is the full system.

The Daily Loop

CrewCoach runs on a simple repeating loop. Sixty seconds at the start of every shift. Real work in the middle. Recognition in the moment. One tap to log it. Then again tomorrow.

LEARN

60 seconds at shift start

DO

Throughout the shift in real work

RECOGNIZE

In the moment with a warm specific Nod

LOG

Automatically through every tap

Then again tomorrow

Learn. The shift leader shares a real story from their own experience, names one specific behavior to watch for, and sends the crew into the shift with intention.

Do. The crew does what they do. The shift leader watches for the behavior they named at the start. Real work. No interruption.

Recognize. When the shift leader sees the behavior they named, they recognize it. Not good job team. The exact thing the crew member did. Direct. Specific. Immediate.

Log. The shift leader logs the Nod with one tap. Over a two-week trial, that builds a record of what is actually changing on the floor.

The Five Gems

CrewCoach is built around five core leadership behaviors. The two-week trial goes one gem deep, Build Trust Daily, and stays there until it sticks on the floor. Locations that continue grow into the full five.

In the trial

Build Trust Daily

Eye contact. Owning a mistake. Trust built one honest moment at a time.

Coming next

Live the Standard

Following through. Finishing the right way.

Coming next

Mean What You Say

Keeping your word. Saying what you mean.

Coming next

Carry the Flame

Setting them up. Teaching them how.

Coming next

Protect Dignity

Correcting with dignity. Having your crew's back.

The two-week trial earns Build Trust Daily, practiced on real shifts until it holds. Locations that continue past the trial grow gem by gem into the full five-gem framework: Live the Standard, Mean What You Say, Carry the Flame, and Protect Dignity.

Two Tools. The Nod. The Nudge.

Every day, shift leaders use two specific tools to coach their crew. One for recognition. One for correction. Both are simple. Both are deliberate.

The Nod. Recognition.

Direct. Specific. Immediate. Used when a crew member does something well. Public when it can be. Captured with one tap so it is never forgotten.

The Nudge. Correction.

Direct but never harsh. Correct with dignity. In private when you can. In the moment when you must. Never as a spectacle. Care first, always.

What It Sounds Like

These are not slogans. They are the actual words a shift leader uses on the shift, pulled from the live curriculum. By design, CrewCoach runs four Nods for every one Nudge. You can hear that ratio below.

Recognition

When a crew member owns a mistake

"Hey, I saw that. You owned it instead of hiding it. That took guts. Thank you."

Build Trust Daily · Nod

Recognition

When a crew member finishes the right way

"The person coming behind you is going to have everything they need because of what you just did."

Live the Standard · Nod

Recognition

When a crew member keeps their word

"You told the truth and you followed through. That's the two hardest things, and you did both."

Mean What You Say · Nailed It

Recognition

When a crew member teaches a teammate

"Hey, I saw you walk her through that instead of just doing it yourself. Now she's got it when you're not here."

Carry the Flame · Nod

Correction

When a crew member needs a quick fix mid-shift

"Hey, fresh gloves on those, then back to it."

Protect Dignity · Nudge

What the Trial Journey Looks Like

The two weeks on the floor sit inside a larger arc. The trial goes one gem deep, Build Trust Daily, practiced on real shifts until it holds. Here is the whole journey, in three parts.

Before the trial

Getting it right before anyone steps on the floor.

Discovery

We talk first. Brandon learns about your floor, your crew, what is working, what is not. No pitch. Just a conversation that decides whether the trial is the right move.

Pre-Flight

Once you say yes, prep begins. Brandon tailors Build Trust Daily to your operation and the GM picks the shift leader who will run the loop. Before the first shift, we capture an honest baseline of how the crew feels about their work, so the change at the end is a real picture, in your crew's own words, not a sales pitch.

Training

Brandon trains your shift leader shoulder to shoulder before the trial begins. They walk through the story, practice every Nod, and own the gem before it touches the floor. The shift leader arrives on the first shift ready to lead, not still learning.

The two weeks on your floor

Real shifts. The gem, lived.

The first shift

The GM opens with a few real words to the crew, then hands off to the shift leader for the first sixty-second Learn step. Brandon is there, watching and taking notes, not running it. The shift leader leads. By design.

On the floor

Brandon is back on the floor with them, watching the loop run, supporting the shift leader, and recognizing what is working. Light touch. Still the shift leader's room.

A warm surprise

Somewhere in the two weeks, Brandon shows up unannounced with something small and real for the crew. No schedule. No speech. Just a moment that says someone noticed.

The check-in

Later in the trial, Brandon visits again. The shift leader has owned the loop for over a week now. Brandon observes, calibrates, and quietly takes the crew's temperature for the honest before-and-after picture.

After the trial

The moment it becomes real, and what comes next.

Wrap-Up

The shift leader who carried the trial earns the CrewCoach Champion credential, presented by Brandon with the GM in the room. The first gem seal, Build Trust Daily, is pressed onto their certificate by hand. Brandon hands you a Trial Recap with the before-and-after picture, the moments, and what changed. You decide what is next. No pressure.

Ongoing

If you continue, the monthly subscription begins. The daily loop runs every day, and the crew grows into the next gems over time, each one earning its own seal on the certificate. Brandon delivers a printed monthly summary in person so the trend stays visible.

If this sounds like what your team needs, here is how to start. No long pitch. Just a conversation.
